NB+C Structural Engineering Update

NB+C’s Structural Engineering service line has experienced tremendous growth since its inception in 2014. 2021 in particular was a big year for the team, and as such, we’d like to highlight 2 major programs; one of which  commenced last year, the other has continued to steadily grow year over year since starting work with this client in 2017.

Program 1: The structural team began working with a top American wireless service provider as an overflow support vendor. In the first quarter of 2021, they performed mount analysis and mapping services for one of the company’s major tech program offerings. In Q3 2021, NB+C was named one of four Primary Vendors for this  national program,  providing all mount structural services in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. To date, NB+C has performed 1,000+ mount analysis, 250+ mount modification drawings, and 200+ field mappings. Just  a few months back, NB+C was assigned to the New York Metropolitan market, encompassing the five boroughs of New York City, the lower Hudson Valley and Long Island, as a Primary Vendor for one of their major solution offerings. NB+C has worked closely with the client’s Structural Engineering Support Committee contributing to the development of their National Engineering standards, providing input and feedback for the standardization of engineering deliverables and overall project conformance.

Program 2: NB+C has been providing structural engineering services to a major technology solutions provider that offers products and services such as antenna concealment structures, custom small cell poles, and other components to all national carriers. The structural team has provided structural design and analysis services in support of thousands of small cell poles and several hundred macro cell sites across the United States, and in 2021 alone, completed 750 projects for this client across 37 states.

“At NB+C our unique team of engineers thrive to provide a multidisciplinary collaboration platform to formulate recommendations and innovations to enhance constructability, quality and deliver on-time product and solutions for our clients.” – Krup Kolandaivelu, Vice President – Engineering

NB+C is looking forward to the Structural Engineering team’s continued success and work on these programs throughout the rest of 2022 and beyond.
