Since 2020, NB+C has strategically grown its utility division, recognizing the immense opportunities in the utility vertical driven by the increasing demand from data centers, AI, and Electric Vehicle Charging stations. We are thrilled with the progress and growth of this strategic initiative and remain committed to setting aggressive goals for our organization’s growth in new business lines. We see significant long-term opportunities that we can capitalize on, ensuring sustained success and expansion.

In 2025, our utility division is not only meeting but exceeding both our sales and performance goals. This success is a testament to our focused and determined efforts in expanding relationships with key partners and adding additional service offerings in the utility space. Currently, we are working with six major utility providers throughout the eastern third of the United States, providing comprehensive program management, land use, and engineering services for our clients.

The infrastructure utility space is a targeted service expansion for NB+C, leveraging our vast experience in fiber and wireless deployments. Our engagements with utility clients include communication tower upgrades and relocations, private LTE deployments, fiber network designs, make-ready engineering, distribution development, and lateral designs. This diverse range of services highlights our capability and commitment to delivering top-notch solutions in the utility sector.

Our Boston team was recently awarded a project by a New England/ New York utility company to develop a private telecommunications network intended to better manage outages. As part of these services, we work closely with the utility radio frequency engineers, property owners, local jurisdictions and general contractors. We offer hands-on project management and engineering design expertise providing the highest level of service and speed to market results.
